700's
Vikings from the north hits on Christianity in t.e.x Rome and slaves. It appears that the Vikings are baptized. (Thralls = slaves)
800s
In 829 asks the Swedes King King of France to make the country a Christian. The King of France sends missonären Ansgar which is a German monk on a mission with the monk Vitmar to Sweden Christian. They come to the important village of Birka on Björkö Island. Ansgar stayed in Birka in a year and a half. One of the Swedes who wanted to be baptized was Birkas officer Hergeir.
In 830 leaves Vitmar and Ansgar Birka and replaced Gautbert. It upprätats a new archbishopric of Hamburg where Ansgar becomes archbishop.

In 852 go Ansgar on his second trip to Birka when he arrived so he is met by reluctance but he bribed the King of Sweden. finally he got to build a church on Hergeirs farm.
900s
In 930 the archbishop Unni to Sweden where there is not a trace of Christianity. The people of Birka had risen against the priests that the church had sent to Birka.
1000's
In 1008 pushes a Roma-Catholic missonär into Sweden from the south and west. Olof of King baptized by missonären Sigfrid which also creates biskopdömet in the crowd, and several churches. King Olaf appoints religion to Sweden's official religion.
In 1060 Archbishop Adalbert Adalbert appoints the younger bishop of Sigtuna who want to burn the pagan temple but chased out after a while of those who still believe in Asatru.
In 1080 King Ingvar the earlier refusing to make the pagan rituals of the pagan temple at Uppsala. It demolished pagan temples throughout Sweden and built more churches. Bishop Eskil stenar to death.
In 1083 destroyed the pagan temple at Uppsala, and you start to build a church there.
In 1085 started the construction of Lund Cathedral.
